Class of 2024: Graduate aiming to make his mark in finance

A University of Wolverhampton graduate with a passion for numbers has graduated with a 2:1 

Afolabi Aleje, 21, from London, has graduated in Accounting and Finance and is aiming for a career in the finance sector.  

Having been an intern at asset management company, Orchard Global, Afolabi was able to express his interest in working with numbers.  

He said: “I’m looking to pursue a career in the finance sector and with my degree, that’s the path I’m aiming to take. I love numbers and the whole aspects around it.” 

Reflecting on his graduation and the journey at the University of Wolverhampton, Afolabi said: “Graduating feels amazing as all the hard work, involving late nights studying, has all been worth it. It was great to celebrate the day with family and friends.  

“Whenever I had any issues/questions, I was able to regularly speak to my lecturers and they were able to point me in the right direction when it came to work experience opportunities.  

“To anyone thinking of studying at the University of Wolverhampton, be open, believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to ask questions.”  

The University has risen 16 places in the latest Guardian University Guide rankings.
