He said: “Studying has been quite a surreal experience. I feel a mixture of pride and excitement and it feels amazing to have gone through a lot of hard work and seeing it now finally paying off. Nothing beats that!

“The learning experience here has been so rich, the interaction with the lecturers, the opportunities, the different extra-curricular activities have been nothing short of perfect and beautiful for me.

“Some of the additional extra-curricular activities I’ve done have included being the Vice President of the British Computer Society, interacting with students, going to a lot of workshops and seminars. I secured an internship with IBM, i-UG as a Technical Solution Architect and was able to work with their team on solving some problems.

“I’m currently working on the Multiply project which is being run by the West Midlands Combined Authority to increase the levels of adult numeracy, so I’m giving something back to the community.

“With all of the skills I’m learning I really hope that I can make a difference in the future, looking at the Internet of Things (IoT), perhaps improving the healthcare sector and bringing AI into every single fabric of our world and improving the life standard of everyone.”
