My current work investigates the relationship between people and objects - the 'things' we own and often treasure.

The focus here is how artefacts can act as mnemonic devices to evoke emotions and store memories across space and time. These relationships with inanimate objects are often considered nostalgic, superstitious, or fetishist but the memories elicited can be powerful, challenging or comforting reminders of the past.

Natural textures and experimental coloured glazes of red, yellow and green, are applied to evoke emotions and memories relating to Caribbean identity and culture, reminiscent of my ancestral homeland of Jamaica.
