"Benedict Ferraby, 21 years of age, based in the West Midlands. Specialises in Sports Journalism, is also a keen photographer who enjoys travelling and history in the meantime."

I am a 21-year-old with a strong passion for sports journalism in particular.

Since starting the BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism degree, I have obtained work experience with Wolverhampton Wanderers, which has included working at a Premier League game against Arsenal, as well as freelancing for Football League World and Prost International, writing over 700 articles and eventually becoming a Hull City-specific writer for the former, and attending live matches and press conferences for the latter.

I also partook in numerous experiences offered by the University of Wolverhampton, such as covering two West Bromwich Albion Women's fixtures at The Hawthorns in 2023/24.

I am also a keen photographer within the Birmingham & West Midlands region, and have had some of my work recognised by local publications, including a piece I pitched and sourced interviews in for the Express & Star in February 2024.

Throughout the three years at the University of Wolverhampton, I have massively improved my confidence, writing and presenting skills, all of which will massively benefit me in my future career aims.

I have also gained a wealth of experience in using a variety of equipment, content management systems and editing software. I regularly use radio boom kits for radio production & JVC cameras for television production. In the studio, I have used Adobe Audition & Premiere Pro for editing purposes, as well as Rundown Creator to produce scripts & Burli for creating hourly news bulletins. For publications, I use WordPress, Substack & Emaki.

I hope you enjoy seeing the variety of TV, Radio and written-based content I have produced over the past three years!
