Joseph Childs

"Joseph Childs has been making films since 2018, as he started college, and has worked on numerous projects in the years since, mainly working as a director. Alongside his studies, he is also an actor and an accomplished theatre performer, having performed with companies across Shropshire for the last 15 years, and having become an Associate of the London College of Music in Music Performance in 2023. His most recent accomplishments are the films “The Photographer: Episode One”, which he wrote and directed, and “Someone To Talk To, And Keep Me Company”, which he co-produced and co-directed."

Hello, my name is Joseph Childs, and I have written, produced and directed a short film called “The Photographer: Episode One”.

Have you ever been stuck for inspiration, or down on your luck? How far are you willing to go to rectify that?

The Photographer: Episode One follows Alex, a struggling screenwriter, having moved back in with his parents following a difficult breakup. He later meets up with an old friend to work on a story for a local newspaper, leading to them having a near-death experience, knocking over the first domino in a long line of consequences for the pair.
