CLASS OF 2024: Illustrious lawyer recognised with honorary award

A lawyer has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the University of Wolverhampton following an illustrious career spanning more than 30 years.  

Kim Carr is a partner with full-service law firm FBC Manby Bowdler and received the LawNet Managing Partner of the Year Award in 2012 for her outstanding performance and leadership.  

Honorary awards are presented by the University of Wolverhampton to people who have made a significant contribution to their field of expertise. 

Kim was elected Chair of LawNet in 2015, which she held for seven years, and was the first woman to hold the role in the company’s history.  

She is also recognised as a key lawyer in the leading Legal 500 2024 Directory and a trustee of the Wombourne Special Needs Support Group, which provides leisure activities to children with special needs.  

Kim said: “The University of Wolverhampton is a remarkable institution with a vibrant and diverse student body that brings so much to local communities and I am absolutely delighted to receive this honorary award.” 

The University’s graduation ceremonies are taking place at University of Wolverhampton The Halls from Friday 6 September to Friday 13 September 2024.
