Graham Wright, from Freshway Foods Ltd, will present the benefits of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with the University at a free breakfast event on Wednesday 8 October 2008.
The seminar will be held at Hilton Hall, Essington, from 7.30am to 9.30am.
A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) enables firms to recruit a high-calibre graduate or “associate” to boost their business by getting them to work on a specific project lasting between one and three years. Wolverhampton-based Freshway Foods Ltd benefited from the programme with a new product development strategy.
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships is a UK-wide graduate placement programme designed to help business and organisations improve their competitiveness and productivity by tapping into the knowledge, technology and skills available from academic institutions. Each partnership employs one or more recently qualified graduates to work in a company on a project of strategic importance to the business.
Significant government funding is available to support these programmes subject to eligibility and companies of all sizes and from all sectors are invited to attend the seminar.
