The event, organised by the School of Sport, Performing Arts and Leisure, will take place at St John’s in the Square, in Wolverhampton, on Thursday 8 May 2008.
The music department’s resident ensemble, Serenata Winds, will perform 20th and 21st century music, as well as two recently composed works by staff member Chris Foster and 2nd year student Linda White.

MA Music, said: “There will also be a pre-concert talk at 6pm given by renowned composer Michael Finnissy, who is a Visiting Professor in Composition. Michael will discuss his compositional processes with specific reference to pieces played in the concert by Serenata Winds. St John’s is a beautiful location and the public are more than welcome to come along.”
Final year students, past and present postgraduate students, staff and all members of the public are welcome to attend the concert.
