Professor Jack Cohen will present a talk entitled Why so many sperm? on Wednesday, May 14 2008 between 1pm and 2pm. The lecture will take place in the MX building on Camp Street, Wolverhampton City Campus.
Prof Cohen is an Honorary Professor at Warwick Mathematics Institute, University of Warwick.
The talk will be introduced by Professor John Howl, from the University of Wolverhampton. He said: “The seminar will consider the intriguing question of why mammalian reproductive strategies generally require very large numbers of sperms to achieve fertilization.”
