The Microsoft Inspiration tour will visit the University’s City Campus on Wednesday, 27 February 2008. Students will be able to glean tips and knowledge for use both in and out of class, and help them to prepare for careers in the IT and games industry.
Stuart Slater, Principal Lecturer Digital Media, said: "It is good to see a company like Microsoft offering innovative sessions for students on cutting edge technologies. By continuing our relationship with Microsoft, we hope that University and partner college students will be able to see first hand leading technologies delivered by the companies that develop them."
The Inspiration Tour consists of technically-focused sessions to help students understand the latest software trends. It also includes information about the boom areas of web 2.0 and mobile devices.
The event has been organised by the School of Computing and Information Technology’s placement department and Digital Media staff. Students from local colleges have also been invited to attend.
