The “Lex21”
initiative is aimed at the School of Legal Studies
working with legal practitioners in a number of areas including networking, professional development and legal training.
It is hoped that School of Legal Studies students will also benefit from this initiative with increased links potentially leading to further work placement opportunities, practice presentations and increased student recruitment prospects.
School of Legal Studies Associate Dean, Lynn Leighton-Johnstone, who introduced the Lex21 initiative, said: “This unique opportunity for like minded legal practitioners to network puts the School of Legal Studies at the forefront of developing the lawyers of today into the leaders of tomorrow.”
Several practitioners in the area have already joined the Lex21 initiative and have benefited from networking with other organisations, CPD points and leadership skills from the two free events held so far.
