Online Workshops

Welcome to Skills for Learning! We are a team of librarians supporting different academic skills, including searching for literature, academic writing and referencing.

If you are new to study or returning after a break, we recommend starting with our Finding Academic Information, Harvard Referencing and Introduction to Academic Writing workshops.

Our Skills workshops are currently being delivered online in Microsoft Teams. We will email you with details of how to join the session. If you have any questions please contact usNote: Please use your student or personal email address to register. Organisational addresses (such as .nhs or .gov) may send updates to spam.

All our sign-up sessions are introductory – if you are looking to advance your skills further (perhaps you are a Masters student) please see our 1:1 support. If you don’t see your desired workshop in our schedule – eg: Oxford or APA referencing – contact us and we can arrange one for you..

We are aware that our workshops might clash with your lecture timetable. Don’t worry - we also run evening and Saturday workshop throughout the semester. If you’d prefer not to wait, get in touch at skills@wlv.libanswers.com for further help.

Do you require a BSL Interpreter, or have a particular learning need? You can request support from ASK@WLV, the first point of contact for all student queries and support.
