Exciting Updates at Harrison Library: Welcoming New and Returning Students

As the new academic year begins, we are thrilled to welcome both new students and returning students back to our libraries. At Harrison Library, we've been busy over the summer refreshing our spaces to provide an even better environment for your studies.

Summer Refresh and Ongoing Enhancements

Over the summer, significant work has been done to refresh Harrison Library (you can read about the project here). We are currently putting the finishing touches on these improvements, and over the next two weeks, we will be completing various study areas. As soon as these areas are ready, they will be opened for your use.

Please be aware that there will be some ongoing disruptions as we continue to enhance the library. New study furniture is being delivered and installed, new shelving is being built, and book stock is being moved into place. Additionally, some areas are still being recarpeted to ensure a fresh and comfortable environment.

Navigating the New Space

With so many changes to where things are located, particularly all of our book stock, we are working through updating all of our signage. We encourage you to ask a library staff member if you need any assistance finding things or navigating the space. Also, please watch for signage that will advise you on which areas are available for use.

Your Feedback is Important

Although much has been refreshed, our work is not yet complete. The efforts so far have focused on updating the main study areas to provide a solid foundation for future developments. We now have a fantastic canvas to tailor your learning spaces to suit your needs. We will mark areas and spaces where we would like your feedback, so please look out for these opportunities and let us know your thoughts.
