Black History Month 2024
We are excited to be celebrating Black History Month , like last year we have displays in our libraries showcasing a selection of our learning and fiction resources. You are welcome to borrow any of the books on display or browse and reserve books via our online collection.
This year’s theme is “Reclaiming Narratives,” focusing on recognising and correcting the stories of Black history and culture with the 'aim to bring more attention to our true stories and history.'
Our displays include posters showcasing pioneering black figures and their impactful contributions to literature, science, politics and more.
You can also pick up a copy of the Black History Month magazine 2024 and this edition offers insights, stories, and historical explorations that reflect “Reclaiming Narratives.”
