Enabling Teams notifications when joining new Teams channels

By default, when joining a new Microsoft Teams channel notifications will be disabled. You can of course re-enable notifications for these specific Teams channels. To do this:

  1. Head to a Teams channel
  2. Click on the 3 dots icon located at the top right of the Teams channel (located next to a camera icon)
  3. Select 'Channel notifications'
  4. Change the notifications for 'All new posts' by selecting the appropriate option from the drop down menu
  5. Click save

You have just enabled notifications for this Teams channel, and will be alerted if there are any posts or updates in the 'Activity' feed of the navigation bar.
