Tutor Awareness sheet (TAS)

The Tutor Awareness Sheet (TAS) outlines the tailored adjustments that academic staff and service departments are encouraged to implement in support of students’ diverse access needs. These adjustments are guided by individual assessments and are designed to ensure equitable learning experiences for students with physical, psychological, or sensory conditions.

What does a TAS include?

Each TAS is provided as a confidential electronic document via e:Vision, offering clear and comprehensive details regarding recommended support and reasonable adjustments across Teaching & Learning environments, Examinations and In-Class Test arrangements, Residential Services, Learning & Information Centres, and emergency evacuation plans (PEEPs).

Students are warmly encouraged to review their TAS to ensure the reasonable adjustments and support recommendations accurately reflect their current needs. If any aspect requires revision, they are invited to contact Accessibility, Disability & Inclusion as early as possible so that appropriate updates can be made.

TAS documents are shared with Module Leaders and other relevant staff within service departments. Access is granted on a confidential, need-to-know basis, and only information relevant to implementing reasonable adjustments is communicated. Every effort is made to uphold privacy and ensure respectful support.

An example of a TAS document is provided below to help you understand how your personalised support plan may appear.
