ASK@WLV temporary relocation as part of Library refurbishment project

As part of the investment to refresh and refurbish Harrison Library at City Campus and introduce a central hub of front-line services, the ASK@WLV helpdesk will be temporarily relocated over the summer.

The work to refresh and partially refurbish the ground and third floor of Harrison Library will commence on Monday 22 July 2024.

The summer refresh will also better support individual and group working and will include co-locating several student services: ASK (frontline help and support); Student Life (Mental Health & Wellbeing, Disability & Inclusion, Financial Support, Safeguarding and Support to Study); alongside the Library and Skills for Learning (academic skills) helpdesk; as well as other teams at peak demand periods.

In the short term, while work takes place in the Ambika Paul building, the ASK@WLV service will be relocating on a temporary basis. From 1 July 2024 until 14 October 2024 front counter will be located in the Housman Building (MX) on Camp Street (City North).

The opening times of the service will stay the same, and the location of the counters on Walsall and Telford campuses will remain unchanged during this time.

The work should be completed by mid-September in time for our next graduation and for Welcome Week when our new and returning students join us for the start of the academic year.
