2024/5 Academic Year: Main Exam Periods

Q: What are the main exam periods for the 2024/5 academic year?
A: The main exam periods are as follows:

  • Semester One:

    • First Sit: 06-10 January 2025

  • Semester Two & Year:

    • First Sit: 05-16 May 2025

  • Semester Three:

    • 11-22 August 2025 (dates to be confirmed)
  • RESITS 
    • Resits: 07-11 July 2025

  • INYR, CRYRA, PSRB & Other Non-Standard Modules:

    • Exams during specific teaching weeks (to be advised by Module Leader and published on Canvas)

Please note that a second provisional assessment week for Semester One is set for 12-16 January 2025.

Q: Are there any specific requirements for certain courses?
A: Yes, some PSRB (Professional, Statutory, Regulatory Body) courses, such as Nursing, Pharmacy, and Law, may have exams at different times throughout the year. If you're enrolled in any such courses, please check with your Module Leader for exact dates.

Q: Can I request to defer my exams for personal events like holidays or weddings?
A: All students are expected to be available during university teaching and assessment weeks. Applications for mitigation to defer exams due to personal events, such as holidays or weddings, will not be accepted.
