Aiming to provide further knowledge of key and contemporary issues and challenges related to education in a medical setting, this medical education diploma empowers you to develop essential capabilities surrounding teaching, assessing, educational research and curriculum development. How it works

Students will spend one year on this programme working towards the Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education.

You will study six taught modules following the same pattern and module structure, with each module taught in a six-week block.

In tutor groups of 10-20 students, learning takes place entirely online, where you will engage in the Academic Forum several times a week to follow discussion threads, complete weekly questions, make your own contributions, and interact with the tutor and fellow students.

On successful completion of this course, graduates will be awarded with a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Wolverhampton, in partnership with Learna | Diploma MSc.

Entry Requirements

Applicants will be assessed on an individual basis, but will typically possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject awarded by a UK university or overseas equivalent. You must be able to demonstrate evidence of how you can apply learning on this programme in a practical setting and reflect on practice; a good command of English; and basic IT skills, such as word processing, email and internet.

In cases where English is not your first language, you must hold an English language qualification. We accept an IELTS overall score of 6.0 or above. Alternatively, students can provide proof of study at a UK, USA, Australian, New Zealand or Canadian University, membership to a medical body from one of these countries, or registration to the GMC, NMC, GPhC or HCPC with a licence to practise.

Fees and funding

This postgraduate diploma comes at a total cost of £5,360 for the year, with interest-free payment plans available to students. Tuition fees incur no additional surcharges for international students.
