How it works
The format of this online Postgraduate Diploma in Acute and Urgent Medicine is designed to stretch students' abilities and skills at the postgraduate level, drive learning and promote essential student engagement.
You will learn in tutor groups of 10-20 students, interacting daily with multidisciplinary peers from all over the world, and engaging in the online Academic Forum several times a week to follow discussion threads, complete questions and make your own contributions.
The six modules will each follow the same pattern, being taught in six-week blocks across one calendar year.

Entry Requirements
Applicants will be assessed on an individual basis, but will typically possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject awarded by a UK university or overseas equivalent. You must be able to demonstrate evidence of how you can apply learning on this programme in a practical setting and reflect on practice; a good command of English; and basic IT skills, such as word processing, email and internet.
In cases where English is not your first language, you must hold an English language qualification. We accept an IELTS overall score of 6.0 or above. Alternatively, you can provide proof of study at a UK, USA, Australian, New Zealand or Canadian University, membership to a medical body from one of these countries, or registration to the GMC, NMC, GPhC or HCPC with a licence to practise.
