This course aims to develop your understanding of important contemporary issues concerning education in a medical or healthcare environment. How it works

During this two-year programme working towards the Master’s in Medical Education, you will cover a wide range of medical education topics and assessment methods. 

In Year One, you will study six taught modules following the same pattern and module structure, with each module taught in a six-week block. Following this, Year Two will provide the opportunity to hone your critical research skills during the professional project.

Learning takes place in tutor groups of 10-20 students. You will log into the Academic Forum daily to participate in weekly questions, interact with the tutor and fellow students, follow discussion threads, and complete a range of assignments.

Qualifications

When you successfully graduate from this programme, you will be awarded a Master’s in Medical Education from the University of Wolverhampton, in partnership with Learna | Diploma MSc.

Entry Requirements

Applicants will be assessed on an individual basis, but will typically have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject awarded by a UK university or overseas equivalent. Candidates must be able to demonstrate evidence of how they can apply learning on this programme in a practical setting and reflect on practice; a good command of English; and basic IT skills, such as word processing, email and internet.

In cases where English is not your first language, you must hold an English language qualification. We accept an IELTS overall score of 6.0 or above. Alternatively, you can provide proof of study at a UK, USA, Australian, New Zealand or Canadian University, membership to a medical body from one of these countries, or registration to the GMC, NMC, GPhC or HCPC with a licence to practise.

Fees and funding

The total cost of this course is £9,760 for the two years. Interest-free payment plans are available, or there is the option for payment in full. International students are not required to pay additional fees.
