For healthcare, teacher training and social work, there are specific types of financial support.

Healthcare
Students taking NHS professional courses such as Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, Podiatry and Occupational Therapy can apply for a Training Grant from the NHS in addition to the standard undergraduate funding from Student Finance England. There is also furthergrants for students with dependant children and those studying shortage subjects.
