I accredit my MPH program at the University for equipping me with all the needed skills to directly apply and excel in my clinical research career today

I am originally from Nepal. After graduating from the medical school from Russia, I practiced medicine for more than six years back home in Nepal. I experienced working in the hospital environment as well as in the community (rural parts of the country) as a medical doctor. I chose the program at Wolverhampton because I wanted to further my passion in public health from a internationally recognised institution that facilitated my interests in clinical research studies. I enjoyed the duration of my time at the University. I was able to meet a diverse group of students who had similar interests and goals. Moreover, I felt incredibly supported by my professors and staff who guided me throughout my educational journey. Professors such as Pauline Fuller, who was my mentor during my thesis writing and dissertation, Ranjit Khutan, who taught us public health and infectious disease, and Matt and Tim, who taught the fundamentals of qualitative research, were all phenomenal teachers who gave me so much insight as a student learning the basic principles of global public health. The University also helped me financially through scholarships and job opportunities within the campus. I was appointed as a student ambassador for the University. I thoroughly enjoyed my role and proudly represented the University.
Currently, I am working as a senior lead clinical scientist in a pharmaceutical company in the United States, where I oversee global oncology clinical research trials. In my daily work, I am involved in applying clinical research methodologies I had learned in the program in areas such as randomised clinical trials, literature search and reviews, writing extracts and medical narratives, developing study protocols, etc. I accredit my MPH program at the University for equipping me with all the needed skills to directly apply and excel in my clinical research career today. I am grateful to all the professors, staffs, mentors and the program for all the guidance and knowledge I have attained.
