Chemical and process engineering: Expert in CO2 capture technologies, blue hydrogen production, and gas separation technologies.

Process modelling and optimisation: Proficient in designing and optimising processes for CO2 capture and hydrogen production, using detailed process modelling techniques.

Development of novel solvents for CO2 absorption: Skilled in creating and testing new solvent systems for enhanced CO2 capture efficiency.

Teaching and supervision: Experienced in lecturing, conducting workshops, and supervising PhD and undergraduate students in chemical engineering disciplines.

I am a chemical engineer and CCS specialist, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Wolverhampton working on emission control and CO2 capture for diesel generators. Before this position, I was at Brunel University London since January 2022 working on modelling and optimising combined CO2 capture and hydrogen production processes. I received my PhD from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in October 2021. My PhD thesis was "Absorption and Mass Transfer of Carbon Dioxide in Aqueous Blends of Monoethanolamine and Glycerol”.

One of my areas of expertise is designing and implementing a lab-scale setup for testing new solvents and sorbents for gas absorption and adsorption. I am also deeply involved in the academic community, where I assist in teaching and supervising PhD students, contributing to research and education at Brunel University and the University of Wolverhampton.

  • CO2 capture and utilisation: Focused on developing efficient and sustainable methods for carbon dioxide capture, including the use of novel solvents and absorption techniques.
  • Hydrogen production processes: Specialising in optimising combined CO2 capture and hydrogen production, particularly from natural gas sources.
  • Environmental engineering and sustainability: Emphasising renewable energies, biofuels, and process integration to enhance environmental sustainability.
  • Mass transfer behaviour in gas absorption systems: Investigating the efficiency and mechanisms of gas absorption in various solvent systems, with a particular interest in lab-scale and pilot-scale experiments.
