    Management Accounting 

Eleven years in the manufacturing industry. Started as Trainee Factory Accountant, ultimately gained position as Finance Director for an £80 million turnover group. Involved in company acquisitions, development of an Activity Based Costing model, a ‘SAP R/3’ integrated software implementation, the introduction of responsibility accounting and general management duties.

Twenty one years teaching experience commenced at the West Midlands School of Accountancy. Taught various management accounting and financial reporting modules to both undergraduate and postgraduate groups at the University of Birmingham, the University of West London and Aston University. Throughout this period spent fifteen years teaching in the private sector at Kaplan Financial to professional accountancy students studying for their AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW examinations.

Joined the University of Wolverhampton in January 2018 as Senior Lecturer in Management Accounting. Course leader for the MSc Professional Accounting and Finance. Head of Department Finance, Accounting and Economics from January 2022.
