As a nurse in Intensive Care for 13 years of my nursing career, my specialism still lies in Adult critical care. During my time in ICU, a particular sub-specialism was found in Acute Renal Failure and supportive therapies including Contiuous Renal Replacement Therapies.

I am a Practice Educator to the Nursing Associate Programme in the Faculty of Health, Education and Wellbeing. This role aims to facilitate apprentices experience in practice areas by aiding the successful completion of Practice Assessment Documents (PADs) and support for their practice assessors and supervisors in my role as Academic Assessor.

I have 25 years of clinical nursing experience across a host of different surgical and latterly Intensive Care areas with experience as Clinical Educator in critical care. My particular interest is in face to face interactive education and skills training provision. Whilst working in intensive care, I completed an MSc in Advanced Nurse Practice with a particular research interest in optimising renal replacement therapies in critical care.
