Student Voice in Higher Education
I studied the BA (Hons) Childhood, Family and Education studies at the University of Wolverhampton and following graduation I worked within student support and outreach for the University, assisting students with any issues that they had and sign-posting them to relevant support services. Following this I held the position of Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) within the institure of educaton at the University of Wolverhampton, which involved supporting teaching and learning on undergraduate provision within Education studies. As a GTA I completed my PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education and I began teaching ‘Early years and Education studies’ within colleges up until my appointment as a visiting lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton in January 2019. I was appointed as a permanent Lecturer in Education and Inclusion Studies in June 2019 and since then I have supported the development and delivery of the BA (Hons) Education Studies and BA (Hons) Education, Childhood and Youth. I am currently completing my PhD, which is exploring the use of Student Voice in Higher Education to develop collaborative practice between leadership, teaching staff and students.
