University announces extra places
The extra places are in subjects including Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Accountancy and Art and Design.
The University also has additional places available in Drama, Music and Dance.
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) announced funding for an additional 10,000 places nationally today.
Jane Nelson, Pro Vice-Chancellor Student Affairs, said: “The University of Wolverhampton is delighted to announce that it has been awarded 355 additional places for 2010 entry. These have been awarded in areas aligned to Government priorities, which include Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, and Art and Design, and recognise the strong reputation in these subjects and record demand for places this year.
“The additional places are associated with financial support from HEFCE’s Modernisation Fund. “
The University of Wolverhampton has been awarded the additional places for its new Learning Works portfolio of undergraduate courses. The University reviewed all its courses to make sure they are suited to student needs and demand.
