What is university Clearing?
University Clearing is the process by which universities fill any remaining places on their undergraduate courses after the main application deadline has ended.
This typically takes place from July to September and is designed to help students who have not yet secured a place at university to find a course that's right for them. Clearing is an option for those who:
- are apprehensive about results and are considering a back-up plan
- missed entry requirements for conditional offers
- are having second thoughts about their course choice
- are applying late.
If you're interested in applying to the University of Wolverhampton through Clearing, you can apply from 5 July each year. Simply use our online Clearing course search tool to browse our available courses and apply online. Alternatively, you can speak to one of our friendly advisors on the Clearing hotline or live chat who will be happy to answer any questions you may have and guide you through the application process.
The 2025 Clearing Fast Track is officially open at the University of Wolverhampton.
