University to host sports open day

06/07/2017

People interested in studying or playing sports at the University of Wolverhampton are invited to a special open day.

The event from 10am – 2pm on Wednesday, 19 July 2017 is aimed at anyone who is over 16 and wishing to study sport or get involved for the fun of it.

Taking place at the Walsall Campus, the open day is aimed at people who are thinking about joining the University this year, whatever course they are studying.

There will be sport sessions including badminton, basketball, football, judo and netball and a taster of life on a University sports team.

James Dale, Student Sports Teams Co-ordinator, said: “Everything at the Sports Open Day is designed to give people an idea of what it’s like to be part of Team Wolverhampton – whether professionally, or just for fun.

“Visitors can discover more about the great opportunities that are available to get involved through volunteering, even if you’re not studying a sports degree. From strength and conditioning sessions and improving physical performance, to dropping in to our specialist labs for relevant testing, anyone coming along will get a 360-degree look at sport at Wolverhampton.”
