Breakfast club serves up to businesses

31/07/2017

Business owners can network and access support at a free breakfast club.

The next SPEED Business Networking Club will take place on Wednesday, 2 August 2017 at Grand Station in Sun Street, Wolverhampton.

Aimed at new start-up companies and established and growing businesses, the club meets every other month on the 1st Wednesday.

Registration is from 8.30am, giving business owners’ opportunity for some informal networking and to have breakfast before sitting down at 9:00am for a short presentation from either a guest speaker or one of the breakfast club members.

This is followed by some fun and fast paced speed networking, aimed to give everyone the opportunity to speak to as many different people in the room as possible.

Jenii Lowe, who runs Obsidian Content Creation, attends the event regularly. She says: “I always find it valuable. The organisers choose informative speakers that provide useful information appropriate to small businesses based in the Midlands. The speed networking part is fun, and it's nice knowing you've been able to introduce yourself to everyone in the room. The free bacon baps are always delicious too!”

The main event ends around 10.15am to 10.30am, with some more opportunities for informal networking.

Part- funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Enterprise Action supports small businesses in the Black Country and the Marches to access support. The project is run by University of Wolverhampton and can offer fully funded business workshops, 1:1 business consultancy and match-funded grants to local businesses. The Enterprise Action team will also be on hand at the event to talk to advise on the support available.

If you would like the opportunity to presentation during one of the breakfast meetings, please email: jo.terry@wlv.ac.uk or Kam.Atwal@wlv.ac.uk

The next event will be on Wednesday, 4 October 2017.
