London event celebrates alumni

18/10/2016

Graduates and special guests celebrated a year of the University of Wolverhampton’s London office at the Imperial War Museum.‌

The event was hosted as a reunion for University alumni in London and to mark a year since the recruitment office opened in the capital.

The celebration featured an appearance by the University’s Formula 3 car, which recently finished second in the national F3 Cup, and a performance by Faculty of Arts music students.

Speeches were given by Vice-Chancellor Professor Geoff Layer, former Chief Executive of Education Central Professor Sir Geoff Hampton and the University’s F3 driver Shane Kelly.

Claire Shaw, Head of Alumni and Development, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome our alumni to the Imperial War Museum and to celebrate a successful first year of the London office.

“It was a great opportunity for our alumni to network and enjoy the grand setting, and we hope the event triggers further engagement with our graduates.”
