Event for entrepreneurs

08/11/2016

Budding entrepreneurs hoping to set up their own business are invited to a free event at the University of Wolverhampton.

The entrepreneurship workshop will take place at The Technology Centre at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park on Tuesday, 15 November 2016.

The free event from 9am until 5.30pm is open to staff, academics and members of the public and lunch will be provided.

Working in partnership with businesses, universities and not-for-profit organisations from across Europe, the University of Wolverhampton has developed a one-day workshop which aims to give new entrepreneurs the skills needed to set-up and run a successful business.

The workshop is as a result of a project called Vet4StartUp, supported by funding from European Union Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership programme. Vet4StartUp has developed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for would-be entrepreneurs, and the MOOC will be demonstrated at the workshop.

Rachel Henley, Business Development and Project Manager, said: “In addition to demonstrating the Vet4StartUp MOOC, the workshop will provide participants with the top 10 tips to set up and run a profitable UK-based company and give them the opportunity to develop a business plan and pitch it to business experts.

“There will also be an opportunity to network with likeminded individuals and make value business contacts and show people how to develop, and maximise the value of, business contacts. ”
