Business leaders of the future will benefit from a new formal accreditation on a respected University of Wolverhampton postgraduate course.Jas Sandhu with Miceal Barden

The University’s Master of Business Administration has been officially accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) for its extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership.

The course will help managers who are ambitious to take their careers to a more senior level.

CMI Relationship Manager Jas Sandhu visited the University recently to talk to students at their MBA inductions, alongside Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Miceal Barden.

Miceal said: “We are very pleased to gain this accreditation. It gives professional recognition to our Diploma, which helps managers progress in their careers and develop their strategic thinking.

“CMI-accredited qualifications are highly regarded by employers as an evidence of a manager’s practical skills. When they graduate, our MBA students widen their recognition and increase their level of employability.”

Students may elect to obtain the extended diploma at the same time as the MBA, either by enrolling at the start of the MBA, and gaining access to extensive CMI materials, or at the end of their studies.

The University has a long-standing partnership with the CMI which includes the annual Crystal lecture, a high profile presentation from a renowned business leader, and the Rose Bowl award.
