The New Designers Show at the Business Design Centre in Islington will feature more than 3,000 of the most promising graduates from Britain’s leading design courses.

In its 30th year, the sh‌ow takes places in two parts - Part 1 features fashion and textiles, ceramics and glassware, jewellery and costume design between June 24 and 27, while Part 2 features product and furniture design, graphic design, illustration and animation between July 1 and 4.

More than 70 students from the University’s Wolverhampton School of Art will be attending the show.

They include recent graduates in fashion and textiles, applied arts, graphic design, visual communication and illustration.

Dr John Pymm, Dean of the University’s Faculty of Arts, said: “It’s fantastic for so many of our students to be representing the University on such a prestigious national level.

“Thousands of people and businesses visit the show every year and it provides a great platform for new artists and designers to showcase their work to a wider audience.

“It also provides our students with a great opportunity to sell their work, get commissions or job and placement opportunities. The show always generates a buzz and a great deal of interest and we’re delighted to be part of it.”

The University recently officially launched the Wolverhampton School of Art as part of a new vision for art and design in the city. It also successfully ran Artsfest, a festival celebrating the creative and cultural life of the region.
