30/06/2015

People with a passion for martial arts can find out more about a new degree at the University of Wolverhampton at an open evening this week.

The BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching Practice Martial Arts) course is a mix of practice and theory. It allows students to develop coaching skills and understanding in relation to martial arts.

An open evening will take place at the University’s Walsall Campus, Gorway Road, on Thursday (JUL2) to enable would-be students to discover more.

It will include a practical activity and performance analysis and a demonstration from some of British Judo’s top athletes.

There will also be a tour of facilities, including sports science labs and a chance to ask the course leader any questions.

The degree will include specialist modules such as ‘Starting a Martial Arts Business’. There will also be placement opportunities specific to martial arts provided by partner organisations.

The evening will take place from 7pm-9pm and all are welcome.
