The BAA’s offer the opportunity to celebrate both individuals and organisations that have demonstrated business excellence in a number of categories from Business Innovation  and partnerships, to Graduate employment support and Alumnus contribution to society.

Taking place at the Molineaux Stadium, the evening was presented by “Stand-up Educationalist” David Keeling and included a welcome talk from Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Oakes and a closing speech from the University’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Geoff Layer.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton, Professor Ian Oakes, said: “The Business Achievement Awards are a celebration of collaboration between the University and our business partners as well as recognition of the successful achievements of our talented finalists, who have all made enterprising and innovative contributions to the region’s businesses.

“Graduate employability if one of our top priorities and we are delighted that 94% of our graduates are in employment of further studies six months after graduating and we have been able to celebrate many of these successes with the Business Achievement Awards this year.

“As a University of opportunity, we are extremely proud to have been able to reward such talented individuals and enterprising businesses.”

Nominations for the award categories were submitted online to the university’s web page. Entries were then finalised down to three per category.

The winner for each category was decided by a carefully selected judging panel of university representatives and businesses.
