Graduates to boost skills in workshop

16/06/2014

Budding graduates are invited to attend an interactive workshop taking place at Thinktank Museum, based in Birmingham, on Friday 4 July from 9:30am to 2pm.

The event will be hosted by the Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise Network (KEEN), led by the University of Wolverhampton.

KEEN is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is designed to give aspiring graduates a platform to kick-start their careers.

Graduates will have the opportunity to receive advice and guidance on CVs, covering letters and applications.

Experts will also be able to provide guests with a number of tips and improvements in relation to interview techniques.

Emma Pearson, KEEN Manager, said: “The purpose of this event is to prepare students for life after graduation through an interactive workshop, helping them to raise their game in an ever more competitive market.”

“Those attending will also be made aware of the fantastic opportunities offered by KEEN which will allow them to put their degree into real world practice.”

The KEEN programme involves a recently qualified graduate - known as an Affiliate, working for a West Midlands business on a growth project, developed in association with the University of Wolverhampton.

The Affiliate’s role is to spearhead the project with the ultimate aim of increasing the company’s profitability and helping it to achieve growth.

Final year students and graduates are invited to register online to attend the event free of charge.
