Employment fair draws crowds

The Annual Recruitment FairThe annual Recruitment Fair, held on 16-17 October, enabled leading employers such as HMRC, Capgemini, Moog, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Marstons PLC to promote their graduate jobs and placement opportunities to high calibre University students and graduates.

A variety of private, public and voluntary sector organisations attended the event, advertising more than 2000 vacancies and 600 volunteering opportunities.

Speaking about the two day event, Helene Turley, Head of The Workplace at the University of Wolverhampton, said: “The Recruitment Fair was once again a fantastic success and we were extremely pleased with the high turnout.

“Our strong links with leading businesses is something we’re very proud of, as we aim to continue making a significant contribution to the region’s economic regeneration.

“We see the Recruitment Fair as a good example of these links and we were delighted to welcome employers such as HMRC and Capgemini, amongst others, to the event.”

Students and graduates could also access advice from the Careers Clinic where Careers Advisors were on hand offering CVs and application forms advice.

Other exhibitors at the fair included Irvin Mitchell LLP, West Midlands Fire Services, Orridge, Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust, GEO Post (DPD) and Grainger and Worrall Ltd.
