Log on to virtual open day

18/05/2011

The online open day, accessed at www.wlv.ac.uk/virtualopenday, is aimed at people who cannot attend one of the University events due to work commitments or because they live overseas.

There are links to prospectuses, accommodation guides and videos showcasing campus life and the facilities.

There is also an online Subject Fair where students can find out more about particular courses and advice about how to apply.

Web Manager, Katrina Hutchins, said: “We decided to develop a virtual open day for people who cannot attend or who would like a refresher after attending one of the events. As well as prospective students, it is useful for parents and careers advisors who are interested in finding out more about the University.

“We are planning to develop live events in the future, where people will be able to talk to staff and students in real time. We are keen to hear what people think of the virtual open day so there is an opportunity to feedback any thoughts too.”

The University’s next open day will take place at the Wolverhampton City and Walsall Campuses on Saturday, 11 June 2011 from 10am to 3pm. For more information about the event, www.wlv.ac.uk/opendays email enquiries@wlv.ac.uk or call 0800 953 3222*.
