Business partnership set for launch

The Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre aims to have a positive economic impact on the city and West Midlands region by helping businesses to become more competitive. The launch will take place on Thursday, 30 September 2010.

Based at Wolverhampton Science Park, the partnership consists of the University of Wolverhampton, Black Country Chamber of Commerce, City of Wolverhampton College, Wolverhampton City Council and Business Link West Midlands.

Business people from around the region have been invited to a special event, Innovate4Success, at 6pm on Thursday, 30 September 2010 featuring guest speaker Hamish Taylor.

Hamish is an inspirational leader on innovation and change management and has an award-winning record of driving innovation and change in a number of high profile business, including Procter and Gamble, Eurostar and British Airways.

Professor Ian Oakes, Pro Vice-Chancellor Research and Enterprise at the University of Wolverhampton, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses, both public and private sector to access the world class expertise and resources of the partners, all under one roof, and help them become more competitive during these very challenging times. I am delighted that Hamish Taylor has agreed to attend the launch and inspire us with his practical, no-nonsense advice on how to innovate for success.”
