Cost recovery conference for legal professionals

15/09/2009

The event, Cost Recovery – avoiding the pitfalls, is being organised by the School of Law, Social Sciences and Communications and will take place on Wednesday, 7 October 2009 from 9.30am until 3pm.

Organised with Claimant Costs Recovery Limited (CCR), the conference at Wolverhampton Science Park aims to update delegates on current issues surrounding the recovery of costs. It will also provide solicitors with an insight into maximising the profitability of their files.

There will be keynote presentations from Master Haworth and Costs Counsel Roger Mallalieu.

Lynn Leighton-Johnstone, Associate Dean, said: “This event will be of great benefit to all firms in the current economic climate. No-one can afford to avoid understanding ways of maximising profits whilst maintaining service standards.”

The event costs £50 plus VAT, including lunch and refreshments. The conference is part of Lex 21, a networking initiative for the West Midlands region's legal practices. Led by the School of Law, Social Sciences and Communications, members take part in a variety of events throughout the year focusing on training, leadership, business planning and recruitment.
