Norwegian business expert to visit Uni

Morten Huse is Professor of Management and Organisation at the Norwegian School of Management. He will visit the University’s Telford Campus in Priorslee on Friday, 9 October 2009..

He will present a talk from 10am until 1pm as part of the University’s Management Research Centre seminar series entitled ‘Boards, Governance and Value Creation’. People interested in attending can book a place for the event by emailling Stephen.greenfield@wlv.ac.uk.

Dr Silke Machold, Reader in Governance and Ethics at the University of Wolverhampton Business School, said: "We are delighted to host a speaker of such international renown as Professor Huse. His work on boards and their impact on value creation is not only at the leading edge of research, it has also influenced the practices of boards of directors in many countries. Given the heightened public and policy interest in what boards actually do, the seminar is a timely event to learn more about effective governance.".

Professor Huse is an affiliated professor at various universities in Europe. He has authored more than 15 books and 100 articles. He founded and chairs the European Academy of Management Corporate Governance and has been the chairman of the National Association of Directors in Norway. He has worked extensively with boards in Norway and many other European countries..
