New partnership launched

13/11/2009

A Partnership Framework agreement was signed by the University, Wolverhampton Homes, Thomas Vale, Bullock construction and Frank Haslam Milan on Friday, November 13 2009.

Each partner has appointed a champion who will represent their organisation and work closely with the other partners to forge stronger working relationships. This could include support for tenders, industrial work placements, work based learning or collaborative research.

Paul Hampton, from the University’s Department of Construction and Infrastructure, said: “I am delighted to bring together such well respected organisations, and look forward to discovering new innovative ways of working together.”

Shazad Ahmed, Wolverhampton Homes’ project skills co-ordinator Decent Homes partnership, said: “We are thrilled to be working more closely with the University. Through the Decent Homes programme we are keen to provide opportunities for local people and be part of the community.”

The signing took place in the Council room at the University and each partner received a framed copy of the agreement.

Wolverhampton Homes and its partners are carrying out a multi million pound Decent Homes programme to improve council homes throughout the city. Tenants could see new kitchens and bathrooms as part of the scheme.
