Free public lecture on education at Walsall

Professor Kit Field, Dean of the University’s School of Education, will present the lecture at the Walsall Campus on Wednesday 6 May 2009, at 6pm.

The lecture, titled The ‘ins and outs’ of Continuing Professional Development leadership in secondary schools, will take place in the main lecture theatre at the Walsall Campus (room WN 004).

Professor Field said: “The aim of the lecture is to discuss the growing demand for leadership in relation to continuing professional development for staff in secondary schools.”

The talk is part of an annual research conference hosted by the School of Education’s Centre for Developmental and Applied Research in Education and the Graduate School.

Kit Field is Professor of Education and the Dean of the School of Education at the University of Wolverhampton. He recently chaired the national University Council for the Education of Teachers (CPD) Standing committee and participated in General Teaching Council and the Government’s Training and Development Agency projects.
