Clearing the way for Open Day

13/08/2008

The University will host the event at its Wolverhampton City and Walsall campuses on Saturday, 16 August 2008, from 10am until 4pm.

Staff will be on hand to offer advice and guidance for those looking for their University place through the Clearing process as well as those who have not yet applied for a place at University this year.

Lecturers from the University’s 10 academic Schools will be available to chat to students and there will also be talks on some of the many subject areas. There will even be an opportunity to ‘sign up’ on the spot to courses with places still available.

Visitors can also look around the student accommodation, tour the campuses and talk to the people about money and careers.

Katy Guest, Open Day Co-ordinator, said: “Our experts will be able to take prospective students through the Clearing process and help them find the right course. We may be able to point visitors towards an alternative route to the future they want, with a course (or a combination of courses) that they hadn’t yet considered.

“Whatever your situation, come along to the Open Day on Saturday, August 16 and ask all the questions you need, get good advice and find your place in higher education.”

People can check which campus to visit and book online to ensure fast track entry at www.wlv.ac.uk/opendays
