Event Overview

Our first 'Enabling Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)' event will examine how SMEs can provide suitable and welcoming workplace environments for disabled people through inclusive digitalisation. Our project ‘Manufacturing a better world’ has been investigating inclusive digitalisation by exploring both first-hand accounts of disabled people’s use of digital technology in manufacturing, and experts' views. Many SMEs face skills gaps and challenges in attracting and retaining talent, and this session will provide advice on how businesses can diversify their workforce and attract new talent into manufacturing.

Who is this event for?

The event is primarily for manufacturing SMEs who want to create a diverse and inclusive working environment in general, and for disabled staff in particular. However, SMEs in other industries, local authority representatives and industry associations are welcome to join us in developing the conversation around inclusive manufacturing.
